Yes, he is parked IN THE AISLE of a local Stein’s Gardens and Gifts.
No lines = No Park
I watched him and his family get in and leave. While watching another family man in a CR-V block the aisle behind me and to my right.... he parked in front of the gardening center and waited the whole time that I was there for his wife to buy plants and shit. He never thought to pull into a space? He even blocked some people that parked against the fence where they were SUPPOSED to for easy loading of heavy sod and crap.
I bought some pumpkins and got the fuck out.

A few years ago, my wife and I visited this grocery store. It was raining, and some dipshit had driven his pickup up to the doorway to load his groceries. This is where you walk in the store, not where you park (note the crosswalk stripes). I said, “Well, that’s original.” And he smiled and said, “Yah, I know.” My wife said, “Actually, it’s really rude.” And he got all pissed off and said he was going to kick my ass. Dafuq?

I hate it when people act like a running engine is an excuse to park anywhere they please.
As if parking correctly is too much to ask.

Where my girls go to dance, the laziest of moms and dads (mostly moms, not gonna lie) park in one of the two handicapped spots, or in the van ramp spot between them to wait for their kids.
Annoys me to no end. Been thinking of calling the local cops to come and camp out and hand it tickets and training on how not to be asshats.

This would be the second reason that anti-idling laws should be far more prevalent- people feel too empowered when their car is running and they’re sitting still. You know half those people are prepping excuses in their head like “ it’s cool, just in case my wife teleports out of the store into my car and I have absolutely zero heads up and we need to get to the hospital without wasting a blink of the eye”. The other half of the people just don’t give a shit about waste or pollution or anything that doesn’t directly affect them.
Idling should be the exception (like if your car requires a crank start), not the standard. Start-stop technology is some of the best out there imo.

Another law wouldn’t make much difference. Most of the people I see doing this won’t hesitate to hang out in the fire lane or a handicap space.
And they’ve got their responses all planned out. They’ll move the vehicle if they see a cop approaching. But if it’s a civilian confronting them, they’ll just get all pissy and protest that they’re not hurting anybody and that you should mind your own business.

One of the rare times a BMW is in a parking related picture and doesn’t actually involve said BMW.

True... It’s not as much the existence of a law needed but rather the serious and continual enforcement of said law.
Put an undercover/plain clothes cop on foot at any high traffic parking area - a strip mall or shopping mall and just have them issue $20 citations on the spot to idlers (>1 min?), no warning. One weekend afternoon of that and I’m like 99% sure they’d make more in ticket revenue that pulling over speeders in an entire day. Granted this is coming from a very suburban mindset. I don’t even want to think about for large cities. (And don’t get me started on drivethroughs...)

god people sucked at parking in Texas. I’ve been living in Washington state for the past few years and never seen any idiot parking. Even the drivers here are good 90% of the time.
I’m actually kind of nervous about moving back home and having to drive on I-10 near Houston regularly lol.

I’m kind of jealous of people like this sometimes. Just traipsing through the world without a care.
